With thirty-six years of continuous service to the Austin area, the Christian Service Center (CSC) provides limited financial assistance to those in need.  It is funded by member donations, memorials, and the UA budget. Founded on the scripture “to love mercy, do justice, and walk humbly with God,” Micah 6 is a unique coalition of 9 university-area churches whose 250+ volunteers serve the impoverished in Austin.

Presently, Micah 6 operates a food pantry which is open twice a week serving around 400 people per week and a clothes closet. It also offers occasional educational forums on issues which affect the impoverished.

Micah 6 has an ambitious strategic plan which addresses other needs such as case management, centralized financial assistance, medical services, etc. Visit the Micah 6 site by clicking here for more detailed information.
