Funded by member donations, memorials, and the UA budget, the center volunteers conducted over 900 interviews in 2008. Approximately 3000 family members benefited from this aid.
The center works by appointment only and is located on the first floor of the church, next to the kitchen. (open 9-12, Mon.-Th.). To learn more about this ministry call 476-6088, ext 300 between the hours of 9-12 Mon.- Thurs.
Each Wednesday morning for thirty years, volunteers have gathered in the UA activity center to cook and serve breakfast for over 100 improvised and homeless people. Under the direction of Earlene Dufner, these dedicated volunteers include church members, UT students, and members of various organizations. Help is always needed to come early and stay late – preparing, serving, and cleaning up.
