We think we’ve got a pretty neat spirit at UA and we’d love to share it with those who live around us. But our church building sits in downtown Austin, and many of us live in neighborhoods which aren’t all that close by. We’re realistic enough to know that our neighbors probably won’t hop in the car with us on Sunday mornings to drive to church downtown. So what can we do?
Enter: Life Groups.
Life Groups are simply church the way it was meant to be done. Centuries before cathedrals and church buildings, pews and hymnals, choir robes and pipe organs, small groups of Christians met daily in each others homes. What did they do? “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer...They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” (Acts 2:42 & 46)
Almost every Sunday evening, our Life Groups meet in different homes all around Austin. If you’re looking for a place to meet good people, make lifelong friends, share great food, talk about your life, and discuss your thoughts about God and the Bible - all without having to dress up or do anything weird - Life Groups are for you. You don’t need to be a member of our church, or even a Christian, to visit and join a Life Group. The atmosphere is relaxed, inviting, and everyone is welcome!
If you live in greater Austin, there is almost certainly a Life Group meeting near you. Check our links to the left to learn more, or call/email us with any questions you might have.
